Waddell Theater at Loudoun's NOVA campus
Set in a Catholic boarding school, "Bare" centers on a group of friends during their senior year. Altar boy Peter is in love with his roommate Jason, one of the most popular kids in school. They are carrying on a closeted romance but Peter wants to go public with their affair, at least to his mother, whom he loves dearly. Jason isn't so keen on the idea, as he feels that his entire world would crumble if word of the relationship got out. Things get more complicated when Ivy makes a play for Jason. Her rejected suitor Matt discovers the secret that Peter and Jason have been keeping and it's only a matter of time before things start to spin out of control.
Please RSVP to events@equalityloudoun.org
Tickets are 15.00/general admission and 10.00/student - click here to purchase.
A group of Equality Loudoun members and supporters is planning to attend this screening as an educational event, to better understand the thinking of those self-identified "Christians" who believe that we should remain second-class citizens. Our presence is not intended to be a protest, and we ask that any who join us be respectful.
This film was produced "in cooperation" with Patrick Henry College, and is described in a PHC press release as "the maiden project of Advent Film Group, founded by Purcellville filmmaker George Escobar...who has long dreamed of producing Christian-themed movies while training a new generation of Christian filmmakers." The premise of the film attacks the legal underpinning of Roe v. Wade, which is the right to privacy.
The screening is at 6:45 pm, at the Franklin Park Performing Arts Center in Purcellville. We will have dinner (location TBD) after the film. If you would like to join our group, please contact Equality Loudoun for arrangements: info@equalityloudoun.org, or 703.431.0882.
